Sharing today’s little sprinkle.

Do not wear white to a wedding! I feel like this might be self explanatory, but this past weekend I was at a wedding and a guest wore a white dress to the wedding. I was mortified!

I know we all love to wear white, but you can wear it to almost any other event, just not to a wedding. I will also add bridal shower to the list of events not to wear white to.

Review:

This weekend we were in the Lancaster area for a friends wedding and we of course had to stop by the local coffee shops before we left if the morning. I reached out to Lauren, a friend of Tony’s who lives in the area for recommendations on where to go. Lauren recommended three coffee shops in the area, but this one was her fav and I can totally see why! There are two locations, one in down town Lancaster and one in New Holland. We were a little closer to the New Holland location so that was where we decided to stop. You always know the coffee is going to be good when there was about 20 people in line before they opened. From the moment we walked up the aesthetic was just perfect! The coffee was perfect, great flavor, and honestly didn’t need the SF caramel. We liked the taste so much we took home a growler. Tony and I shared the apple poptart and WOW it was out of this world. It was sweet and delicious. The flavor was like nothing I have ever had before. If you are a Baltimore local it definitely trumps the Iron Rooster poptart hands down. They also had a cute little room for events that could be rented, and a coffee truck outside. Definitely a great way to spend your Sunday morning.

Happy Sunday All!

Just a little “sprinkle” for today, and it really goes along with my fashion pet peeves post:

Going to a wedding? Don’t wear your Apple Watch! Getting a photo shoot done? Don’t wear your Apple Watch! Going to a black tie event? Don’t wear your Apple Watch!

Don’t forget to take off the tech! Don’t worry, just because your watch didn’t count those steps doesn’t mean you didn’t do them! You’ll regret it in your photos if you forget!

Ocean City NJ

Ocean City NJ

OCNJ is the beach town I grew up going to, and it’s still my favorite to go back and visit! Sharing my favorites with you guys today.

Food:

  • Manco and Manco Pizza // You will never find a better pie down the shore. It is to die for. I will drive from Baltimore just for this pizza. They have three locations on the boardwalk and one in Somers Point.
  • Browns // One of the most classic places for breakfast in town. And don’t forget to get a donut or two while you are there.
  • Sunrise Cafe // One of my favorites for breakfast. You probably won’t want to leave until you buy one of their coffee mugs.
  • Ocean City Coffee Co. // Strolling on Asbury or on the boardwalk, Ocean City Coffee Co. has a spot for you. Their 9th and Boardwalk location is my favorite. Total beach coffee shop vibes.
  • Drip & Scoop // Sweet tooth? They’ve got it covered. From lattes, to ice cream, and donuts. Their donuts remind me of funnel cake which makes them that much better.
  • The Crab Trap // Right before the bridge to OCNJ is the Crab Trap in Somers Point. If you have never had their crab soup, I highly recommend. Ocean City is a dry town, but Somers Point isn’t so most nights we have dinner right outside of Ocean City so that we can enjoy a cocktail.
  • Crabby Jacks // Looking for casual dinner on the water, this place is located right behind The Crab Trap and its a perfect pier bar for apps and drinks.

Shopping:

  • Heritage Surf Shop // In need of a new pair of rainbows or sunbum sunscreen to get you through the week? This is your go to place. I actually started shopping at the Margate location first, but the OC location is a bit larger!
  • Island Gypsy // A newer shop that is perfect for any twenty something. All the pieces are on trend and the vibe inside is great.
  • 7th Street Surf Shop // I most definitely have been shopping here since high school and it is still just that good.

Starting a little corner here on the blog for my random thoughts. These little mini posts are going to be short and sweet. Maybe even a sentence or two. Just a little brain dump of something I want so share. Something that isn’t long enough to be a huge blog post, but I still want to share. For the past 2 weeks I have struggled with what to call this little corner, and today I finally decided on “Sprinkles” because it’s a random sprinkle of thoughts!

First Random Sprinkle:

The best workout playlist when I don’t know what to listen to:

Workout Playlist

What’s so great about this playlist, it’s an hour of music. No need to skip, or pick up your phone a million times to change the song. Give it a try!

June Thoughts.

June Thoughts.

Hey ladies and gents. Happy summer.

The month of June has been difficult in the world to say the least. I took some time to be silent on my end and really listen and learn about what is going on in the world. I’ve had more uncomfortable conversations with my Husband, friends, and peers more than ever.

First I think it’s important to say, BLACK LIVES MATTER. I live in a city that is over 60% Black. It is important that as a member in my community I make effort everyday to support Black owned businesses. Support my Black friends. Support all the incredible things that are done for my community.

I might not post on social media every day, but my way of doing better on the BLM movement is how I spent my money every day. I see that not everyone in the world is dealing with this in the same way. If you want to share every day on your social media how the world needs to change, DO IT! If you want to dine at Black owned restaurants everyday, DO IT! However you want to share, support, or spend, it’s important to do what is best for you. No matter how you support the important thing is that YOU SUPPORT!

How are you supporting BLM?
