Traveling at Home: #2 Disney

Traveling at Home: #2 Disney

Happiness is a state of mind. It’s just according to the way you look at things.” – Walt Disney

Just because we can’t actually go to Disney, doesn’t mean we can’t go there in our hearts. This week Tony and I turned our Baltimore Apartment into Disney World!

A trip to Disney for me typically starts with a stroll down Main Street, a stop at Starbucks, and a picture in front of the Castle. Tony and I tried to recreate this the best we could at home!

We decorated the house for a Minnie and Mickey themed adventure as well!

We ended the date night by having a movie night and watching Frozen 2!

Traveling at Home: #1 Go Phillies!

Traveling at Home: #1 Go Phillies!

As I am sure everyone is really at the point that you are ready to leave your house for the weekend in the worst way! Tony and I are dying for a little weekend getaway. I decided to start a new series called Traveling at Home where we will take a mini “journey” somewhere that we love.

Tony and I are lovers of baseball season, and extremely sad that we haven’t been to a single game all season long. The Phillies are our team, and I would have to say since we live in Baltimore, we have to give the Orioles a small place in our hearts.

This past weekend, we “went to a Phillies game.” For our date night we picked up ball park favorites, got game time ready, and watched the Phillies win the World Series in 2008!

What was on the Menu:

  • Hot Dogs
  • Sausage and Peppers
  • Cracker Jack
  • Peanuts
  • Summer Shandy

Want even more of a baseball game feel? Pick up some Graham Slam ice cream and put it in a baseball helmet.

To make it feel real, I decorated the house with a few Philly favorites, throwbacks and more. I bought a few balloons from Target for $6 to make a ballon garland. Linked my decorations here.
